Workshops
I run online workshops that support capability development of education evidence brokers -- i.e. helping education researchers understand more about policy/practice and how to engage with it to support more evidence-informed decision-making; and helping policymakers/practitioners understand more about education research and how to use it to improve student outcomes.
Email me to discuss what sort of workshop will be most useful for your team. A brief description of a standard workshop I run is below.

Collaborating for Impact: Skills for Research-Policy-Practice Partnerships
Workshop length: 2 hours
Required preparation: 1 hour
This interactive online workshop explores how researchers, policymakers, and practitioners can bridge the gap between evidence and action to improve education at scale.
Through the case study "Increasing College-Going Rates in Fulton County Schools," we will analyze how a US-based team of data specialists and educators worked across institutional lines to solve "summer melt"—the phenomenon where students intend to go to college but fail to enroll.
Through discussions and roleplays, participants will reflect on and identify the personal leadership skills needed to lead high-impact partnerships within complex organizations.
Who should attend?
This session is designed for:
- Researchers looking to work more effectively with decision-makers.
- Policymakers and practitioners working with researchers to become more evidence-informed.
This workshop can be paired with an optional group debrief or 1:1 coaching to deepen the learning experience.
